ResumoLayered cobalt hydroxide nanocones intercalated with dodecyl sulfate (DS) ions (see scheme; OH− blue, Co green dots, DS ions red) could be synthesized by the microwave-assisted rolling of lamellar structures. The cones could be exfoliated into cobalt hydroxide nanosheets and converted into CoOOH and Co3O4 nanocones.
