A Study on Adolescents’ Attitude towards Their Emotional, Vocational, and Other Personal Attributes (In the Case of Intermediate College Students in Vishakhapatnam City)

ResumoThe main purpose of this cross-sectional study that employed both qualitative and quantitative design was to study the attitude of 200 rando mly and systematically selected intermediate students /adolescents/ from junior co lleges in Visakhapatnam city towards their Emotional, vocational, friendship, freedom and relig ion attributes. The data were collected through self-ad ministered questionnaire and analy zed statistically by using chi-square. As a result, h igher frequency was recorded in the attitude of adolescents towards their vocation, relig ion, and friendship attributes respectively when compared to freedom and emotion. It is also shown that adolescents' attitude differ accord ing to their sex. That is, while g irls' attitude excelled in the areas of vocation, relig ion, and freedo m, boys surpass in the areas of emot ion and friendship. In the case of friendship, the result reviled that girls are more ho mogeneous than boys.
