Abstract Extract In a previous communication (Webster, 1966 Webster, W. M. 1966. N.Z. vet. J., 14: 203–214. [Taylor & Francis Online] , [Google Scholar]) it was reported that, in the course of official routine meat inspection at a large meat export works during the 1964 and 1965 killing seasons, unprecedented numbers of tumours had been found in aged ewes.
