The modular corotating twin-screw extruder is an increasingly widely used polymer processing machine. This paper describes analyses of reactive extrusion and devolatilization in a modular corotating twin-screw extruder. The results of the analyses are intergrated into a comprehensive model and computer software for the modular corotating twin-screw extrusion process.
