Resumo

This paper describes vibrodrilling equipment that was operated from a slightly modified, shallow-draft, LCVP landing craft and used to collect continuous cores of Bahamian calcareous sands 3 inches in diameter that ranged in length from 4 to 10 feet. The cores contain an undisturbed record of the primary sedimentary structures, fabric, and stratigraphy of the Recent sediments; all holes bottomed on Pleistocene limestone that lies disconformably below.
