ResumoThe exact value of radiotherapy in the treatment of muscle-invasive bladder cancer is difficult to establish, as most studies exploring this issue are retrospective with different procedures for selecting patients for treatment, as well as varying treatment strategies. An estimate of the 5-year overall survival rate following radiotherapy is approximately 35% in consecutive-selected patients and approximately 25% in negative-selected patients.
