Box 463, Tampa, Florida 33601-0463 Vassil St. Georgiev: earned his advanced degree in chemistry from the Institute of Organic Chemistry at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences in 1971. During 1971–1972 he was an UNESCO Visiting Scientist at University of Delhi, India, and from 1972 until 1975 he was a Senior Research Scientist at the Department of Chemistry, Pennsylvania State University. In 1975 he joined the Research Department of Revlon Health Care Group where he worked in the areas of inflammation and allergy/immunology. In 1980 he went to work for Pennwalt Pharmaceutical Division in Rochester, NY (recently acquired by Fisons Pharmaceuticals) where he was a Senior Principal Investigator and Section Head of Immunologic, Infectious, and Metabolic Diseases Research at the Department of Organic Chemistry.
