Learn more.Copy URL Graphical Abstract Chop and change: The FeSb2Se4 phase (see picture; Se red, Fe,Sb green and blue) features the coexistence of room-temperature ferromagnetism and cooperative magnetic and semiconductor-to-insulator transitions at about 130 K. The transitions, which manifest themselves by a spontaneous loss of magnetization and a sudden increase in electrical resistivity, are driven by preferential lattice contraction within the ab plane upon cooling.
