ResumoAbstract When activated with Takemoto’s catalyst, 1,2‐keto esters constitute versatile nucleophiles in the Michael addition reaction with nitroalkenes affording synthetically valuable, optically active anti‐ adducts in very good yields and high enantiomeric excesses.
