ResumoAbstract The Convent of Nossa Senhora de Aracoelli was a Clarist monastery located in Alcácer do Sal, southern Portugal, founded at the end of the 16th century and abandoned during the 19th century. This paper considers the presence of brucellosis in two lumbar vertebrae originating from an ossuary recovered at the Chapter House of the Convent. Copyright © 2006 John Wiley & Sons, Ltd.
