Journal Article Challenges and Opportunities: Exploring Child Protection Workers' Experiences of Ensuring Protection of the Child during Child Sexual Abuse Suspicion Get access Siri Søftestad, Siri Søftestad * Siri Søftestad is a Ph.D. student at the University of Oslo and works as a researcher at the Department of Child and Adolescent Mental Health at Sørlandet Hospital in Norway. She holds a Master's in Social Work (2006) on disclosure of child sexual abuse. Since 1993, she has been involved in the development of routines of co-operation, methods and services to meet the needs of children, families and professionals in child sexual abuse cases in Vest-Agder County Norway. Ruth Toverud is director of research methods at Centre for Child and Adolescent Mental Health Eastern and Southern Norway. She holds a Ph.D. from the University of Oslo (1998) in psychotherapy with sexually abused children. Before that, she worked for twenty years as a clinical psychologist in child and adolescent mental health. Since 1999, she has held managerial positions and worked as a research scientist.
