ResumoThe research was carried out between 1999 and 2000, in Selvíria, State of Mato Grosso do Sul, Brazil. It aims at evaluating the effect of sidedressing nitrogen application, in common bean Pérola, under no-tillage system. The experimental design was a randomized block in a factorial scheme 6x2 with four dose (0, 25, 50, 75, 100 e 125 kg ha-1) and two sources (nitrate of ammonium and urea) of sidedressing nitrogen, with four replications. The evaluations were: full flowering, dry matter of the plants, nitrogen in shoot, production components, crop cycle and grain productivity. The common bean grain productivity is the same using nitrate of ammonium or urea as sidedressing nitrogen; the common bean grain productivity with irrigation in winter can be increased by sidedressing nitrogen. Therefore, the grain yield was affected by the application of nitrogen over 100 kg ha-1.
