ResumoA complete lower molar series of giraffidremains fromthePleistocenelocality of the village Sardhok(Gujrat, Punjab, Pakistan)has been identified as belonging to Sivatheriumsp. The comparison of the material was made with several Siwalik representati ves of the giraffids. The giraffidSivatheriumisa gigantic giraffid found in the earlyPleistocene sediments oftheUpperSiwaliks.The villageSardhok locality has yielded one of the best collections of Giraffidae from theearly Pleistocene of the Siwal iks.The locality belongs to the Pinjor Formation of the Upper Siwaliks (2.6-0.6Ma).
