Recently the number of case reports has increased considerably, a fact due to the routine use of roentgenograms and to a greater interest in pancreatic pathology. A mere addition of case reports would seem superfluous. However, in two cases recently observed, it became possible to perform a gastroscopic examination, and in both cases the same type of change was found, namely chronic superficial gastritis. The gastroscopic diagnosis of superficial gastritis is reliable. When microscopic checks of the gastroscopic pictures become possible (Schindler48) identical characteristic...Bibliography1.
