The present study was developed in the municipal districts of Araripina, Bodocó, Ipubi, Ouricuri and Trinidade.These municipal districts form the "Pólo Gesseiro do Araripe" and they are located in the extreme west of Pernambuco.That area suffers intense modifi cations in its landscape for the removal of the vegetable covering for the use of the fi rewood in the manufacture of plaster of the area as well as for traditional agricultural practices.Of there, the objective of this study went analyze to vegetable covering of this area with base in the no-supervised classifi cation of NDVI and fi eld risings.It was verifi ed that meet the physiognomies Arborized Estepic Savanna and Florested that are located in the Unit of Landscape of the "Depressão Sertaneja", the areas of contact of vegetation of the type Savanna, Estepic Savanna and Semi-deciduous Forest they are located in Plated her of Araripe as well as the areas where those physiognomies meet in regeneration and the areas of agricultural.
