ResumoAbstract The anionic polymerization of ε‐caprolactam in the presence of lithium aluminum hydride proceeds similarly as other processes initiated by various organometallic and hydride catalysts. When using N‐acetylcaprolactam or phenyl isocyanate as activators, the course of polymerization changes completely. Thus the polymerization can be carried out at low temperatures near the melting point of caprolactam, and the molecular weights, formed during polymerization, are stabilized.
