ResumoThe occurrence of conjoined twins is rare. Its actual prevalence is unknown, but it is estimated to range from 1:50,000 to 1:200,000 with a higher level of incidence in Southwest Asia and Africa where an occurrence of 1:14,000 to 1:25,000 is observed, with a female predominance ratio of 3:1.
