ResumoRickets as a definite disease manifesting itself by a more or less constant association of symptoms was first described in 1645 by Daniel Whistler, an English physician. However, the disease must have existed years before Dr. Whistler's report, as is evident in the painting by Hans Burgkmair com pleted in 1509.
