Resumo

Abstract Azide compounds that are readily available and easily manageable, are desirable nitrogen sources for nitrogen-atom-transfer reactions such as aziridination and sulfimidation, in terms of atom-efficiency and ecological benignity. Recent development of catalysts has allowed some of these reactions to be carried out in a highly stereocontrolled manner under mild reaction conditions. This article describes recent progress in such nitrogen-atom-transfer reactions.
