ResumoThe paper highlights the problems associated with the process of forecasting realized within the supp ly logistics in thermal power plants. The theoretical part focuses on the importance of forecasting of in ventories of raw materials in thermal power plants and the quality o f logistics decisions determined by utilitarian val ue of data obtained, stored, processed and transmitted within the logist ic system. The practical part presents the results of studies conducted in one of the thermal power plants in the south of Pol and and the results of forecasting of the demand fo r the materials directly used in manufacturing process.
