ResumoO trabalho procura mostrar, de uma maneira original, a historia dos migrantes nordestinos. Utilizando-se da forma tradicional dos cantadores e poetas populares do Nordeste, que e a literatura de Cordel, o autor descreve a saga dos seus migrantes, primeiramente na sua terra, em seguida atraves do impacto na cidade grande. Atraves de versos selecionados, o autor revela a visao dos poetas populares sobre a vida dos migrantes nordestinos na Amazonia, no Rio de Janeiro, em Sao Paulo e em Brasilia. Uma secao do trabalho e dedicada a saudade da terra natal e ao retorno. O trabalho e concluido com a utopia nordestina de Sao Sarue, descrita por um conhecido poeta popular. The paper attempts to show, in an original fashion, the story of migrants from Northeast Brazil. By using poems from chapbooks of popular poets, the author describes the trajectory of the people from the Northeast, first in their homeland, and afterwards, the impact they suffer in the big city. Through selected verses, the author reveals the vision that popular poets have about life of Northeastern migrants in the Amazon region, in Rio de Janeiro, in Sao Paulo and in Brasilia. One section of the paper is dedicated to homesickness for the homeland and to the migrant's return to it. The paper is concluded with the Northeastern utopia, Sao Sarue, described by a well known popular poet.
