ResumoCopper-filled carbon nanotubes can electrically be probed and engineered (see figure) inside a high-resolution transmission electron microscope using a piezo-driven stage. Unique switchlike or rheostatlike electrical behavior and electrical-driven copper femtogram mass transport within nanotubes is shown.
