ResumoThe Cover shows a “triforce” with each triangle representing the required substrates, the observed intermediates, or the obtained final acyloin product in the developed tandem hydroformylation/acyloin reaction. In their Full Paper, K. A. Ostrowski et al. describe the “quest” to decrease the side products in this orthogonal tandem catalysis, in which two catalysts are applied simultaneously. This quest is represented by the sword, which leads from the substrates directly to the desired acyloin product. Quests are important objectives in console and computer games and are the inspiration for the cover design. Finally, owing to the synergy of both applied catalyst systems, a highly selective method was established to form acyloins and can be applied to various substrates. More details can be found in the Full Paper by Ostrowski et al. on page 2607 in Issue 17, 2015. (DOI: 10.1002/cctc.201500727).
