ResumoThis article examines Madison Smartt Bell's trilogy, All Souls' Rising, Master of the Crossroads , and The Stone that the Builder Refused . This reference work brings into question the very function of the historical novel and deserves some scrutiny. We will look at some issues raised by the blending of history with fantasy as well as the impact of some narrative techniques.
