Abstract The P. M.R. spectrum of the title compound (I) could be unraveled by multiple irradiation. The protons i, e ( I ) are involved in a long range coupling ( 4 J( e, i ) = 2.2 c.p.s.), which does not follow a planar zigzag path, even in the distorted chair. Arguments are advanced, proving that the two cycles exist in flattened chair conformations.
