Este artigo discute a teologia negativa, sustentada sobre o discurso místico como uma linha alternativa ao pensamento racional e positivista da teologia clássica. A partir da compreensão e da tentativa de falar de Deus sem o conceito de ser se verá a possibilidade de continuar no domínio da teologia, mas orientados pela busca e o amor e menos pelo interesse descritivo do intelecto, como acontece no pensamento místico.A divisão entre teologia positiva e teologia negativa é apresentada neste argumento como caminho para reflexão e compreensão de Deus, a partir da substituição do conceito de ser pelo Bem ideal que desperta no teólogo um desejo de união com o objeto. O amor em sua acepção apetitiva torna-se o caminho adequado para a busca e o encontro de Deus, sem a necessidade de retirá-lo de sua condição original. Desse modo, a possibilidade teologia negativa alcança o elevadíssimo nível da mística e da contemplação. Palavras-chave: Deus. Ser. Teologia. Mística. Amor. AbstractThis article takes negative theology, based on mystical discourse, as an alternative both to rational thought and to positivist classical theology. From an understanding of God without the concept of being, we will seek the possibility of remaining in the field of theology, while guided by the search of love as in mystical thought, and less so by the descriptive interest of the intellect. The distinction made in this article between positive and negative theology is a way of reflecting on and to understand God by replacing the concept of being for that of the ideal Good. It wakes up in the theologian a desire for union with the object of his love. Love, in its appetitive meaning, is the proper way to search for and to meet God without removing Him from His original condition. Thus, negative theology reaches the highest level of mysticism and contemplation. Keewords: God. Being. Theology. Mystique. Love.
