ResumoA highly scalable approach for producing surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy substrates is introduced. The novel method involves assembling individual nanoparticles in pre-defined templates, one particle per template, forming a high denisity of nanogaps over large areas, while decoupling nanostructure synthesis from placement.
