ResumoAttention is drawn to the high frequency with which craniolacunia occurs in this country, as hitherto it has been believed to be very rare. The name of craniofenestria is proposed for an exaggerated form of the anomaly in which actual perforations occur in the vault bones. Twenty-eight cases are summarised and their associated developmental anomalies described and illustrated. The diagnostic features are demonstrated as seen: (a) In utero. (b) In the infant. (c) In the dried vault bones of the stillborn infant. The significance of craniolacunar changes is indicated.
