Resumo

Utilizando instrumentais metodológicos da história e da antropologia, através da teoria Micro-histórica associada a uma pesquisa de campo, este artigo visa, através de uma abordagem etnográfica, demonstrar como o torcedor do Clube Atlético Paranaense, criou um forte vínculo de identidade com seu estádio, sobrepujando até a identificação clubística com elementos mais comuns como: as cores do clube, símbolos, mascotes, ou os próprios jogadores. Joaquim Américo Stadium – the “Arena da Baixada” – and the club identity of Clube Atlético Paranaense´s fans Abstract Using methodological tools of both history and anthropology, through the theory of micro-history associated with a fieldwork research, this paper aims, through ethnographic approach, to demonstrate how the fans of Clube Atlético Paranaense created a strong identity link with the team’s stadium, surpassing even team identification with other far more common elements, such as the team’s colors, symbols, mascots and even its players.
