ResumoABSTRACT This essay examines the production circumstances of intertextual relations, and discursive contexts of Abre los Ojos (1997) and its remake Vanilla Sky (2001). Seen in combination, these films demonstrate a struggle for cultural power in a transnational field and provide notably different representations of transnational identities.
