Resumo

O presente trabalho tem como objetivo identificar os padroes ecomorfologicos da comunidade de peixes do estuario do rio Anil. Atributos ecomorfologicos foram obtidos nas 15 especies mais importantes do estuario e submetidos a uma tecnica de ordenacao de Analise de Componentes Principais (ACP). Os resultados indicaram que a segregacao morfologica das especies ocorreu principalmente, atraves dos atributos associados com o tamanho do item alimentar, agilidade natatoria e posicao na coluna d’agua, sugerindo que a partilha de recursos entre as especies ocorre atraves da captura de presas de diferentes tamanhos e, tambem pela distribuicao vertical ao longo da coluna d’agua . ABSTRACT The present paper aims to identify ecomorphological of the fish community from Anil river estuary. Ecomorphological attributes were obtained for 15 important species of the estuary. Ten ecomorphological indices were analyzed through the ordination technique called Principal Components Analysis (PCA). The results indicated that morphological discrimination of the species occurred mainly through the attributes associated with prey size, swimming agility and vertical position in the water column. Thus, results suggest that the share of resources among the species occurs through prey size differentiation and, the position in the water column, where the species can be found.
