ResumoAbstract Albumin and globulin fractions have been isolated from Phaseolus mungo grown in West Pakistan, by methods involving buffer extraction and salt precipitation. The fractions have been analysed by paper electrophoresis in veronal buffer (pH 8.6) and in acetate buffers (pH 3·61 and 4·35) Two of the globulin fractions each yielded one broad zone on electrophoresis in veronal buffer and three to six zones in the acetate buffers. Staining for ester‐linked phosphorus showed the presence of reactive material in one electrophoretic component of a globulin fraction.
