OBJECTIVE. Developments in MRI techniques have increased the role of MRI in assessment of the pelvis in women. The aims of this review are a short overview of pelvic MRI with an emphasis on diffusion-weighted MRI (DWI) and presentation of a practical approach that includes the pearls and pitfalls of DWI.
