ResumoThis paper attempts to compare José Régio and Lúcio Cardoso's plays. It shows how a particular kind of textual intensity found in both playwrights can be connected to a certain model of scenic performance. This paper argues that such is the design of non-realistic theater, i.e., our times are set a spiritual key in an attempt toward the universal.
