ResumoReactions of trifluoromethanesulfonic anhydride with various metal substrates were carried out in an attempt to prepare metal trifluoro-methanesulfonates. New trifluoromethanesulfonates, viz; NaBi(SO3CF3)4, Na2Te(SO3CF3)6, K2SeO2(SO3CF3)4 and Ti(OCH3)2(SO3CF3)2 have been prepared by reacting NaBi(CF3COO)4, Na2Te(CF3COO)6 or Na2TeO3, K2SeO4 and Ti(OCH3)4 respectively, with (CF3SO2)2O. These compounds have been characterized by elemental analyses and infrared and 19F NMR spectra.
