ResumoA female White-tipped Sicklebill (Eutoxeres aquila aquila) was caught on 3 February 2006 at 1,050 m elevation in Agua Blanca, Municipio Andrés Bello, Mérida, Venezuela, 2 km southeast of La Azulita. This account represents the first record of this hummingbird species in Venezuela, extending the taxon's known distribution at least 500 km northeastward.
