ResumoA novel task-specific ionic ligand with an imidazolium salt moiety was synthesized, and its catalytic ability and recyclability for asymmetric transfer hydrogenation of acetophenone derivatives with a formic acid–triethylamine azeotropic mixture in an ionic liquid [bmim][PF6] was examined.
