Resumo

This chapter considers the new Java IDL facilities provided as part of JDK 1.2/Java 2. To do this it is divided into two parts. The first part describes the CORBA standard for Object Request Brokers (ORBs). The second part then describes Java IDL and its interface to a CORBA-compliant ORB as well as the ORB provided as part of Java IDL.
