ResumoType-B genetic and intraclass correlation of the trunk area, production and productivity were analyzed in eight table-olive and six oil-olive of Olea europaea, in three sites of northern Chile: Cerrillos, Rapel and Illapel. Variance components were calculated using restricted maximum likelihood method (REML). For table-varieties, intraclass correlation estimates were high (ΓIC = 0.91) and moderate (ΓIC = 0.40), while for olive oil, this values were between high (ΓIC = 0.81) and low (ΓIC = 0.00). In Rapel, for both varieties group, the intraclass correlation tended to diminishes along the time. In Cerrillos and Illapel, this correlation diminished only in the initial periods. Type-B genetic correlation for oil-varieties were low and moderate, in both productivity (ΓBv = 0.00-0.41) and accumulated production (ΓBv = 0.04-0.52), showed a relatively strong genotype-environment interaction. This same characteristics, of economic interest, for table-varieties, type-B correlations were high (ΓBv ≥ 0.7), indicating a despicable interaction.
