Good quality trauma reporting depends upon: Sound reporting technique Good quality radiography Appropriate use of imaging Good quality clinical information The safe imaging and interpretation of appendicular injuries requires a thorough understanding and implementation of some basic principles. These include an accurate history with the injury mechanism, targeted imaging, and a systematic reporting technique. This article discusses these and illustrates some of the more difficult extremity injuries.
