Resumo

Fish trace fossils occur in the lacustrine interval of the Upper Carboniferous Agua Colorada Formation in northwest Sierra de Narvaez, Catamarca Province. The trails are assigned herein to Undichna britannica and Undichna insolentia. The ichnogenus Undichna seems to be a common component of nonmarine late Paleozoic ichnofaunas, having been recorded from freshwater deposits of South Africa, U.S.A., England and Czechoslovakia. The presence of the described fish trails, in the Paganzo Basin supports the lacustrine origin of these Westphalian deposits.
