ResumoTo the Editor.— In the November 1968 issue of theArchives of Dermatology( 98 :552-524) you published an article on "Surgical Treatment of Familial Chronic Pemphigus (Hailey-Hailey Disease)." We succeeded in curing two patients, by surgical treatment, suffering from the above mentioned disease between the years 1962 and 1964. Since then, the patients have shown no sign of relapse. We published our treatment in The Dermatological Journal of Budapest (No. 5, 1966). These, our patients, were also shown to the participants of the International Dermatological Congress held in Budapest in 1965. The reason for our mentioning all this is that the authors of the article quoted refer to their treatment—certainly on account of their not having any knowledge of our publication—as the first successful treatment in the surgical way. We think it fair that the question of priority should be corrected on basis of this, our short contribution, and
