ResumoIn river water, milk, and bovine serum, molecularly imprinted polymer nanoparticles with hydrophilic polymer brushes showed excellent molecular recognition (see picture). Readily prepared by precipitation polymerization with a macromolecular chain-transfer agent, such nanoparticles are promising alternatives to antibodies for many applications owing to their superior dispersion and binding properties in biological matrices.
