Metal Extraction and Bioleaching

The deposit consists of two E-W veins cut by another N-S one. Vein filling is zonated with sphaleritegalena-calcite at the deeper mining levels and galenabarite at the top. Trace element analysis of sphalerite and galena has been carried out by X-Ray Fluorescence Spectrsmetry. Results show that sphalerite pre ferably concentrates Fe, Cu, Cd, Sn, Sb, Ge, Co, Ga and Ag. Galena only concentrates Sb, Ag and As. Trace element contents are homogeneously distributed throughout the whole deposit.
