ResumoThe study area is surrounded by Alacahan, Cetinkaya, Kangal and their vicinity where there are allocthonous and autocthonous rock types. As a result of this study, the metamorphic units studied have been classified as formation and member, and so incorporated into Bolkardagi nappe. Bolkardagi nappe, which passed metamorphism as greenschist facies was deposited between the Late Devonian and the Late Cretaceous. From bottom to top, it is discriminated as the Late Devonian Duzce formation, the Carboniferous Kinalar formation, the Late Permian Cayderesi formation, (?)the Middle-Late Triassic-Cretaceous Kayakoy formation and the Late Cretaceous Karabogurtlen formation. Meta-quartzites at the base of Kinalar formation were identified as Bakirtepe member and meta-conglomerates at the base of Karabogurtlen formation were identified as metacakiltasi member. Bolkardagi nappe which shows imbricated structures within are tectonically overlied by Munzur nappe and Gunes Ophiolite. On the other hand, Hekimhan formation, Kangal formation, Yamadag group volcanics and Quaternary units overlie Bolkardagi nappe with an angular discordance
