Resumo

Thirty-two aquatic turtles (Sternotherus odoratus; juvenile, semi-adult, adult; body weight 46–238g), 55 tortoises (29 Testudo hermanni,12 Testudo horsfieldii, 11 Geochelone pardalis, 3 Testudo graeca;hatchlings, juvenile, semiadult, adult; body weight 17–1104 g), and5 semiaquatic turtles (Rhinoclemmis pulcherrima; juvenile, semiadult;body weight 31–155 g) were available for the total body analysis. Theywere donated by commercial animal traders and private persons whenthey died from various causes.Crude nutrients were determined by the Weende method (1).
