Each of the sciences has some way to engage and inspire the future generations of scientists. As researchers we are constantly seeking ways to communicate science to our peers, funding agencies, policy makers, and the general public in a way that they can appreciate its importance. We often meet students who want to be astronauts and engineers but few who want to be earth scientists. The big question is how do we attract these students...
