Nine demonstrated a borderland infarction in which the abnormal uptake overlapped the territory supplied by two or more of the major cerebral vessels. Three cases involved laminar or pseudolaminar necrosis, resulting in a crescent sign in the coronal plane projection. The pathophysiology of these lesions is correlated with the scan findings.Article HistoryAccepted: Nov 1971Published in print: Apr 1972 FiguresReferencesRelatedDetailsCited ByNeurological Research, Vol. 39, No. 6Clinical Neurology and Neurosurgery, Vol. 111, No. 8Developmental Medicine & Child Neurology, Vol. 21, No. 2Clinics in Perinatology, Vol. 20, No. 2Seminars in Nuclear Medicine, Vol. 16, No. 1Neuroradiology, Vol. 19, No. 5Computerized Tomography, Vol. 2, No. 3Medical Journal of Australia, Vol. 1, No. 12Stroke, Vol. 7, No. 3Stroke, Vol. 6, No. 6Seminars in Nuclear Medicine, Vol. 2, No. 4Recommended Articles RSNA Education Exhibits RSNA Case Collection Vol. 103, No. 1 Metrics Altmetric Score PDF download
