espanolEl termino liberta comienza a utilizarse a finales de la Republica en Hispania, momento en que toma una dimension publica conforme al derecho y a las leyes, que hace de la mujer esclava una mujer libre, dotada de derechos civiles y, en cierta manera, de derechos economicos, pasando a formar parte de las clientelas del antiguo propietario. Hemos procurado analizar, a pe- sar de las dificultades, la situacion juridica, economica y social de la mujer en la sociedad hispanon-omana en la provincia Tarraconense. EnglishThe term liberta starts being used at the end of the republic in Hispania, moment in which it takes a public dimension according to the law and rules. This makes a free woman about of the siave woman, endowed with civil rights and also economic rights, being then part of the clients of the previous owner. We have tried to analyse, matead of the difficulties, the legal, economic and social situation of the woman in the hispanorromana society in the Tarraconense province.
