Resumo

We present the results of the taxonomic study of Surirella genus in eleven aquatic environments, including isolate water bodies and channels between the islands of the Delta do Jacui State Park. This park is located in the Guaiba hydrographic Basin, Rio Grande do Sul State. Five species and six taxonomic varieties are described and illustrated. Surirella tenera Gregory and S. engleri O. Muller were the most frequent species. S. tenera var. constricta Hustedt e S. rottii Lange- Bertalot, are new reports for the State.
